THE STORY BEHIND THE WORK

WHY I BUILT THIS

After more than 19 years in healthcare, there are things I still think about. Not the diagnoses themselves or the treatments being delivered, but the people who walked out of those appointments carrying far more than the paperwork in their hands.

I spent years working alongside healthcare professionals who dedicated themselves to caring for others. I saw the knowledge, the commitment, and the extraordinary amount of work that goes into treating someone. But I also became increasingly aware of how much we were asking people to figure out once they went home.

A diagnosis doesn't suddenly make someone understand their body. A treatment plan doesn't mean they know how to manage the changes happening in their everyday life. And an appointment ending certainly doesn't mean the questions stop.

I couldn't ignore that disconnect, especially knowing how much of a person's experience with their health takes place outside the walls of a medical facility.

That is why I created Synergy Reset. And as my work continued, it became the reason I built Beyond the Diagnosis.

My career in healthcare gave me an appreciation for the complexity of medicine and the people who dedicate their lives to it. Having worked in healthcare operations and oncology, including serving as Director of Operations at a cancer center, I understand how much happens behind the scenes to coordinate care, support patients, and keep an already complicated system moving.

But my experience also changed the way I thought about health itself. I became increasingly interested in the relationship between nutrition, metabolic health, the nervous system, and the everyday decisions that influence how people feel and function. That curiosity led me to pursue additional education in holistic health, gut health nutrition, and neuroscience.

I don't believe conventional medicine and holistic health need to compete for a place in someone's life. There is tremendous value in understanding both, recognizing where each belongs, and respecting the expertise of the professionals involved in someone's care.

Today, my work is centered on taking complicated health information and making it understandable, practical, and relevant to the people who need it. I want someone to walk away from what I've created knowing more than they did when they arrived, with a clearer understanding of what they can do with that knowledge.

I care about the person who is trying to make sense of everything they've been told. The one who has questions they didn't think to ask, who wants to take an active role in their health but isn't sure where to begin, or who simply needs someone to explain things in a way that makes sense.

That is the person I think about when I sit down to create something.

WHAT MATTERS TO ME

FROM SYNERGY RESET TO BEYOND THE DIAGNOSIS

Beyond the Diagnosis represents a significant evolution in my work and where I've chosen to direct my experience, education, and energy.

I wanted to create something that went further than a collection of articles or another online support group. Something people could actually use while navigating cancer, preparing for treatment, managing the challenges that arise along the way, and adjusting to life afterward.

Today, that vision is taking shape through dedicated educational programs, practical resources, and Until, an appointment companion designed to help people organize questions, track important information, and prepare for conversations with their healthcare team.

My ambition for Beyond the Diagnosis extends well beyond a single platform. I want to see these resources become part of how cancer patients, survivors, and caregivers are supported, with healthcare organizations, oncology practices, and community partners helping make them accessible to the people who need them.

I don't want Beyond the Diagnosis to be another resource people stumble upon when they're desperate for answers. I want it to become something healthcare professionals know exists, families know they can turn to, and people navigating cancer never have to go searching for.
